Chris Brown stole the show at last year’s BET Awards, but can he do it again? The R&B superstar has been added to this year’s performance lineup.
Breezy will return to the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles later this month to perform material from his chart-topping album F.A.M.E. He leads the pack with six nominations at the 11th annual show including Video of the Year, Best Male R&B Artist, and Viewers’ Choice.
After a tumultuous past couple years, the singer broke down in tears during his emotional tribute to Michael Jackson at last year’s show, earning him praise from his fans and peers.
Additional performers include Alicia Keys and Jill Scott, while Patti LaBelle will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award and Steve Harvey will receive the Humanitarian Award.
The BET Awards ’11 will air live on Sunday, June 26, at 8 p.m. hosted by comedian Kevin Hart.
